Charles Irvin Follis

(Chuck, Charlie)

1948-2011

 

Born March 1, 1948 in Norwood,Mass to Ernest & Eula Follis (deceased) .

 A devoted family man, Chuck is survived by his loving wife Nance

of 34 years, his daughter and son-in-law Joy & Wes Cole ,  granddaughter Jessy Cole, step-grandson Brandon Cole, and great grandson  Braydon Cole.  Beloved dog, Rosey and cat, Bubba. Siblings:  Natalie, James, Elaine, Donna, Richard (deceased) & Ernest Benjamin (deceased). 

 

Chuck was retired as a counselor from  Laurel Youth Services, and bus driver

for Bradford Tioga Head Start.  He also   welcomed Foster children into his

home and was a Big Brother mentor.  He was in the Army 101 Airborne                             serving during the Vietnam War.  He  served as the Post Commander at the

Wellsboro VFW and was a member of American Legion, and DAV. Known to many as a simple, kind, and spiritual man.  Loved fishing, gardening, Bluegrassmusic festivals, hats, Scrabble and his family. Chuck is a man of many stories and a few legends. He loved to tell stories.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 3-5 PM at Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel,  Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.  Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

 In  honor the Warrior / Hippie please wear camo or tye-dyed  to the viewing

In lieu of flowers please plant a tree, blueberry bush or hang a bluebird house.
