Michael "Mick” Osgood, 59, of Wellsboro, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008.

He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Wellsboro, a son of the late Charles D. and Adeline Stager Osgood. He was the husband of Laura Briggs Osgood.

Mick was a Vietnam veteran serving with the United States Army. He was a plumber for 39 years and most recently was the owner of ML Heating and Pipefitting of Wellsboro. Mick loved riding motorcycles, hunting, and the shooting sports. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, ABATE, and the NRA.

Mick is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Chad Osgood, John Osgood; daughters and sons-in-law, Fawn and Kris Wolfe, Terri and Steve Kascmar, all of Wellsboro; sisters, Mary Annette Geneski of Wellsboro, Mary Osgood of Homer, N.Y.; grandchildren, Madison, Haley, Kaitlyn, and Stephen. He was predeceased by a brother, Forrest Osgood.

Friends may call Friday, Dec. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., of Wellsboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Wellsboro Cemetery.
